Carl is a seasoned leader with over 30 years of global experience spanning mine assets, processing, mining technology, environmental management, and strategic project execution. As President of ReThink Mining Ventures, Carl has led cross-sector consortia and innovation platforms focused on de-risking and accelerating transformative mining technologies. From 2013 to 2024, he served as Executive Director and CEO of Rethink Mining (Powered by CMIC), where he built partnerships with and among with leading mining companies - including Vale, Teck Resources, Newmont, Agnico Eagle, and Glencore - to co-develop next-generation solutions in ore sorting, tailings management, and underground automation.
Earlier in his career at Natural Resources Canada, Carl conducted environmental and geochemical assessments for major mining developments including Voisey’s Bay, Cigar Lake/Midwest, and Diavik Diamond Mines, and contributed technical review to the Antamina base metal project in South America. He also managed the internationally focused Mine Environment Neutral Drainage (MEND) program, and led environmental management initiative in Guyana.
Carl’s expertise includes financial and technical diligence for major capital projects, development of tailings stability monitoring systems, and environmental impact evaluation across the full mining lifecycle. His unique combination of technical expertise, policy insight, and collaborative industry leadership positions him to advance the development and deployment of innovative mining technologies worldwide.

Trevor is a senior mining executive and technical advisor with over 30 years of global experience spanning operational engineering, innovation deployment, and strategic transformation in both open-pit and underground mining. Trevor has advised mining companies worldwide on project development, operational excellence, workforce management, and technology adoption, helping organizations improve performance through leadership, systems thinking, and practical mining expertise.
Trevor serves as a Mining Specialist at Ernst & Young and as a Mining Subject Matter Expert with MineTech, where he provides strategic and technical guidance to consortia tackling key industry challenges such as digital integration, decarbonization, and mining automation. He also collaborates with Outliers Mining Solutions, advising clients on mining strategy and operational efficiency.
Earlier in his career, Trevor held senior leadership roles with some of the world’s largest mining companies. At Barrick Gold Corporation, he served as Director of Mining within Global Technical Services, overseeing both open-pit and underground mining operations, and driving innovation across global assets. Prior to that, he worked with Cameco Corporation as Acting Mine Manager and Superintendent, and with BHP Billiton in several senior roles at their northern Canadian operations, including Superintendent of Mine Engineering and Mine Services. His technical foundation was built at Teck Resources and Breakwater Resources, where he began his career in mine engineering and operations.
Trevor’s career reflects a deep understanding of mining project development, operational systems, and cross-functional collaboration—from Canada’s Arctic to global innovation hubs. His extensive field experience, combined with his strategic advisory roles, positions him as a highly effective contributor to financial and technical diligence efforts for complex innovative mining projects anywhere in the world. goes here

Tara is a seasoned mining executive and financial professional with over 30 years of global experience in corporate finance, operational turnarounds, and engineering consulting. As Partner at MineTech, she brings a unique combination of capital markets acumen and deep technical understanding across every stage of mine development—from conceptual study through to closure.
Tara is the Founder and Executive Chair of Optimize Group, a global mining engineering firm with offices in Canada and Australia, where she has led over 100 successful mining projects. Her leadership has spanned technical due diligence, operational optimization, and strategic growth planning for clients including Vale Base Metals, Waterton, US Sprott, and Eldorado Gold. She has executed full-cycle financial and technical diligence mandates for mid-tier producers and private equity funds, ensuring alignment between operational feasibility and investor expectations.
Previously, Tara served as CFO and Interim CEO of DRA Americas, the North and South American subsidiary of DRA Global. There, she executed a rapid financial turnaround, helped secure over $50 million in growth financing, and led international expansion into South America. Her mining finance career includes senior roles at Northgate Minerals, Vault Minerals, and TD Canada Trust, with experience in M&A, public market reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and capital raising. Notably, she played a key role in the acquisition of Young-Davidson Mines, now Alamos Gold’s flagship operation.
Tara has also served on the boards of public and private mining companies—including US Gold Corp., MCC Mining Corporation (Colombia), and others—where she has chaired Audit, Governance, and Technical Committees. Her leadership in financial modeling, risk analysis, and sustainability strategy makes her exceptionally well-qualified to advise on complex international mining projects.

Rahul is a veteran investor, engineer, and industrial strategist with over 25 years of experience commercializing advanced process technologies and managing high-stakes capital projects in heavy industry. As a Founder of MineTech, Rahul leads diligence and investment efforts at the intersection of mining, materials, and industrial innovation -bringing a rare blend of financial expertise and deep technical fluency.
Rahul’s career spans founding and scaling multiple industrial technology companies, raising over $1 billion in capital, and managing transactions across mining, energy, and industrial technology. At Siluria Technologies (now part of Lummus), he led the commercialization of a breakthrough methane-to-olefins platform, structuring global licensing and EPC partnerships with leading engineering firms. He has personally overseen strategic financing rounds of hundreds of millions USD, developed financial analysis and FP&A systems, and directed global IP, legal, and licensing strategy.
At KCK Group, he served as Principal for Industrials and Emerging Technologies, steering investments in processing technology, additive manufacturing, and mining-adjacent technologies, including managing a $170 million US Department of Energy loan commitment. Earlier roles at saw him leading cross-border project finance, permitting, and technology commercialization efforts in fuels, chemicals, and power systems. He has managed EPC consortia, navigated complex permitting, negotiated intellectual property agreements, and served on Federal and US State regulatory bodies.
Rahul’s contributions span the full capital project lifecycle—from techno-economic modeling to licensing, contracting, regulatory affairs, and strategic exits. His legal and contractual expertise, honed through complex multi-party partnerships, is coupled with deep experience in commercialization pathways for first-of-a-kind technologies. He holds patents in processing technologies and has served on US National Academy of Sciences advisory councils. This comprehensive background positions him as a uniquely qualified lead for financial, legal, and technical diligence on high-value projects.

Wen is a financial strategist and modeling expert with over a decade of experience across venture capital, financial consulting, and technology commercialization. As a Partner at MineTech, Wen leads financial diligence and modeling efforts for investments in emerging mining technologies and projects, helping bridge innovation with capital deployment. Her core expertise lies in building robust economic models, executing due diligence, and guiding strategic investment decisions for industrial ventures.
Wen leads the structuring a USD 300 million sector-focused venture fund, where she has built detailed valuation frameworks, discounted cash flow analyses, and economic benefit simulations for breakthrough mining technologies. She has conducted deep diligence on startups, including scenario-based return analysis and greenhouse gas modeling, to ensure capital is aligned with both financial and environmental performance goals.
Previously, she held leadership roles in financial consulting and corporate FP&A, including serving as General Manager of Jintai Financial Services, where she led complex M&A advisory and scenario planning across industries. Her financial career also spans capital budgeting, inventory optimization, and IPO support at multinational firms.
Wen holds an MBA from the University of British Columbia, with additional credentials from Yale University’s Global Network for Advanced Management. She is fluent in advanced financial modeling, operational budgeting, and investor communications - making her an invaluable asset on any mining related project.
